![]() Raptor's videos are awesome, although he will often "rush in where angels fear to tread" to great cost (it's a PvP thing). So you need to counter-attack quickly and seize the opportunity to keep things moving in the strategic map or you'll get bogged down in draws. If you sit down and wait for the timer to tick you won't get enough total victories to win the campaigns. ![]() But that'll normally be only after the AI has thrown a few troops at you. You will be in the offensive quite a few times in the campaign (if you want to win, that is). ![]() So they learn the "hunker down and wait for attack" as the best tactic - which makes for boring or uninteresting games to say the least. The other bad side of it is that players learn to play single player/campaign first before multiplayer. But it has been (roughly) like this since EE. It's unfortunate that the AI is pretty stupid as the campaign would have serious potential otherwise. Plus you can scout which kinds of units they have prior to the battle: Often they will lack in anti-air. It doesn't hurt to have some arty/mortars to hit their usually clustered positions while they attack, stunning them all at once. Just assume a defensive position and they'll go boom. Even when your objective is to attack and they are the ones defending they'll still more often than not just suicide all their units into you.
